Friday: Sabres score 3 in third period to beat Panthers 4-2. (My teams start the weekend 1-0.)
Saturday: UB puts up 13 in the second half to pull away from Akron and improve to 4-5. (My teams improve to 2-0.) Paetsch ties it in the 3rd, Vanek scores in OT to beat the Lightning. (I'm 3-0.) Buckeyes over Nittany Lions, keeping them unbeaten for the year and me unbeaten for the weekend. (4-0) Sox over Rockies, leaving them 1 win from the World Series and me 2 wins from a perfect weekend. (5-0) Also, after a month's worth of facial hair growth, I shave down to a mustache and unveil my Magnum, P.I. costume. Before the party's even over, I decide to shave. I'm tempted to count "dressing as Thomas Magnum" and "finally shaving" as 2 more victories, but I won't.
Sunday: Losman off the bench to lead the Bills to a road win over NYJ. They're 3-4 heading into 2 very winnable games. (I'm 6-0 heading into Game 4 of the World Series.) Red Sox win. So do I. All weekend long. 7-0, baby!
