Dear reader/listener,
Today marks the 6 month anniversary of the launch of the new Hometown 1230 WECK and The Brad Riter Show. I figured I'd take this opportunity to thank everyone who has listened, written, come to the site, supported my new ventures, etc.
It's also a chance for a brief State of the Show/Network/Site address.
If you're here to read a "blog" you may be disappointed. However, if you're here to listen to some very interesting conversations (usually) revolving around WNY sports, you're in a pretty good place.
This site is in blog format mainly because that's the easiest way for me to get my stuff out there. I'm not fluent in HTML or any other language that would allow me to have a "real" site. Instead, the site is just a place for me to dump interviews, photos, and tv shows that I've produced in order to try to reach a wider audience.
There was a recent article in Business First about viral/guerilla marketing. Now, it works for Ford and Labatt but they actually have a promotional budget so it's just a part of what they can do. I've got no budget whatsoever so I'm really relying on word-of-mouth and even more so on links that you can spread for me.
Just today, on the Stadium Wall (the only message board I read for Bills conversation) there are two separate unprovoked threads linking to my site. (One about Jim McNally and another about this week's Ruben Brown Show with Gabe Northern.) I love it. Please, if you come across something on this site that entertains or informs you, continue to spread the word.
And please, stay in touch. Add comments to this site, email me, AIM me (BRADonWECK), find me on Facebook, and/or join the Facebook Group for the Brad Riter Radio Network.
I'm still up against it in a lot of ways when trying to put the radio show on the air but we've got a great lineup for the fall and look forward to adding to it piece by piece.
Thanks again for your support.
Sincerely,
Brad Riter
