Sorry there haven't been any updates lately but, rest assured, they're coming soon. The TV show is slated to begin a week from Monday on Time Warner SportsNet. Our show, Buffalo Main Event, was not officially announced at the network kickoff presentation this past Monday since we're putting the show together ourselves, rather than having it produced by TW.
I finally got my hands on the edited pilot episode of the show and I like how it looks. (It's not really a pilot since it's not for air... more of a test run.) It'll be better if I can get myself to stop looking down all of the time. Apparently, it's a habit I developed while working on the radio for years and I had no idea until I saw it on camera. As it turns out, when you keep looking down, it looks as though your eyes are closed and that's not really the vibe we're going for. So, I've got some work to do.
Also, we're still in the process of securing all of our sponsors for the show. If you read this and happen to have any interest in being a sponsor on some level, feel free to email me at bkr1974@gmail.com.
I went to the Sabres game last night and they won again. That makes the team 3-0 in games which I've attended, outscoring the opposition 14-3. I guess I'd better get there for tomorrow night's matchup with the Habs.
One more thing... I like that the Goo Goo Dolls got the chance to perform during the Fox halftime show today, but who decided that "Better Days" was the way to go? It was bad enough as the Sabres' mopey/depressing playoff intro last year but the crowd at Ford Field, with no inherent link to the guys in the band, sat in awkward silence during the song. Not cool at all.
