I've seen 4 periods of Sabres' hockey in person this year and they've outscored the opposition 9-0.
Vanek's the best player on the ice by a lot so far, although Roy is +3.
Ryder makes it 3-1 on beautiful backhand pass from, um, Lydman.
BUF is a defensive wreck in 2nd so far.
2nd goal of night for MacArthur. 4-1 with 72 minutes left in 2nd.
This team STILL scores in bunches, it's just that the bunches occur less frequently... 34 goals in 7 games (with this game only half over) and just 16 total goals in their other 11 games.
19 SOG for MON in 2nd period alone. Strong night for Miller so far.
I've liked Pratt the last couple of nights. Solid, as advertised.
Alexei Kovalev may be the best in the league at disappearing for a full 60 minute game.
