- For the second time this year, the Bills survive a game and come out with a victory that is accompanied by a sigh of relief. I'm relieved too. I'm relieved that I can think of their 5-4 record as an accurate representation of their performance through 9 games. The frustration that came with losing twice to teams making FGs as time expired is now offset by two wins that ended with me saying "OK, there's a win and I never want to talk about that game again." We're even.
- There's something to be said for a young team that's still learning how to win taking care of a division rival on the road, whether that team came into the game 0-8 or not. Looking back at the game, it's tough to pick out more than a couple of players who stood out in a positive way yet the result was a victory. That's a good thing. And, by the way, that's the 4th 3 point loss of the year for Miami. You might be inclined to say that the record speaks for itself, but the Dolphins established said winless record by repeatedly losing their games in the exact same manner as yesterday.
- I love what I heard from Chris Kelsay and Donte Whitner after the game. There's something really cool about watching players grow into leadership/team spokesmen type of roles.
- I don't need statistics to tell me how important Marshawn Lynch has been to this offense so far. His 3.8 yards par carry isn't going to turn any heads, but the rookie is 5th in the NFL in rushing yards and, more importantly, he's providing the coaching staff with enough confidence in the ground game that they didn't feel the need to get cute when it was time to punch in a 2 point conversion to tie the game.
- I feel like I'll be saying this for the rest of my life at this point but I'll just throw it out there again... every single game/series/play is not an audition to keep the QB job. The team has won 4 straight games and is one stupid Nick Folk FG from winning 6 straight. Think about it. 5 of 6 wins and in the only loss, the Bills never trailed until the clock read 0:00. This is a pretty nice run. No unnecessary changes please.
- Can we get some sort of one-time only license to open up the RWS parking lots starting on Wednesday or so this week?
